Go to the GET method of the Pega API and provide the value of the parameter ID (Class name appended by the work object id of the use case) as below,
Copy the Etag value from the response.
Now go to the PUT method provide the following details,
ID – Same as we have given in the GET method (Class name appended by the work object id of the use case)
Action ID – Kindly follow the below steps to get the correct action id
Open the use case in Dev studio
Click on Action
Select first option Open
Scroll down and go to the Case wide actions
Copy Flow Actions
Note – By default Pega created Flow action for every case type and it is pyUpdateCaseDetails. Use your flow action if you have updated or customized this section
Etag – Paste the Etag value copied from the response of the GET method. Pass the value in double quote otherwise, it will throw an error (unmatched Etag value)
Note – Etag value expires in 1 minute so you will have to generate a new value with the help of the GET method every time you want to update anything.
Request Body – Pass the properties which you want to update. The property name is case sensitive so pass the correct value. I have a property Name and update the value of it from Test to Test1. Kindly find the sample request body below,
