Inconsistent behavior of "CPMClearPortalRecent" activity to close the I- case from a Service call
I am trying to close the whole I- case after submitting the S- case for an intent. For that, I am calling the OOTB activity:CPMClearPortalRecent from the post activity of my intent's flow action. Sometimes, it works fine and sometimes it doesn't. Can anyone help me in resolving this issue?
Passing the below params to this activity.
D_CPMPortalContext.ActiveParentRecent.pyRecordID for RecordID
D_CPMPortalContext.ActiveParentRecent.pyRecordKey for RecordKey

I'm not completely sure about end-to-end use case, As per my understanding, do you always want to close interaction after finishing any service case or a specfic service case?
How many cases are in-flight while doing this action?
if you want to close interaction after a specfic process has been finished (finishing last assignment the current work flow), update a property (possibily a datetime property is preferable) conditionally and make sure that you have some non-auto generated section which will trigger onclick on a hidden link. Configure above activity by passing same parameters(run this code this interaction context) on hidden link. I hope this will help you.
