Integrate Pega runtime with Robot manager without connecting workbasket
We are working on requirement for Pega Robotics. where source of workitems ( workitems are feed to the bots through shared location) for Robots is not workbasket, but client wants to manage the Robots from Robot manager. Please provide some information on how it is possible using Pega Robotics tool. If any one have tried it. Please share some details.
You can create a workbasket but not assign any work to it. That would allow you to register a robot with Robot Manager. You'd be able to Start/Stop/Schedule it. You wouldn't have any insight into its work from RM though (obviously).
In that case, won't the flow try to read the work from workbasket. Can you mention the files which require any change example, Commonconfig, RunTimeConfig and Robotics Automation Code(Do we need Robot Activity be the triggering point) etc.
Your automation code wouldn't change. If you were using Robot Manager as the source of work, you'd use a Robot Activity component (the ActivityStarted event) to trigger the work. Since you obviously won't be doing that, RM wouldn't be able to trigger any work in your robot.
CommonConfig would require configuring your bots to connect to Robot Manager and RuntimeConfig would need to have your PackageServer address configured.
