In a Repeat Grid layout we have last column with "Edit" link (this is link is in a embedded section). This link is configured with 'Launch - Local Action' and 'Refresh - Other section' actions.
'Local action' is launched in Modal Dialog and when launched obviously this modal has OOTB Submit and Cancel buttons.
'Refresh - Other section' is used to refresh the outer section having grid.
When edit is performed on last row, on submit of modal dialog, it is adding an empty row at the end apart from editing the intended row.
Empty row is not getting added when edit is performed on any of the rows other than last row.
Is this an issue with product? Any suggestions to fix this issue, if this is a configuration issue?
When we have tried 'List - Open local action' this issue does not occur. We do not prefer this approach as this OOTB action renders modal with Next/Previous/Ok/Cancel buttons where as desired buttons are Submit/Cancel.
Thought of hiding the OOTB buttons and adding Submit/Cancel buttons in section referred by flow action, but this option is also discarded as this flow action is reused in other use cases without a modal (as a connector action rather than local action).
I remember facing similar issue on 717 in one of our recent implementation and I resolved it by rearranging the order of actions. Did you try changing the order of the actions. Let me know how it goes.
Have a look at the attachment. Since the same issue is resolved at our end by rearranging and leveraging other available actions, am sure you will be able to. (Without any doubt it's a product issue, as one configuration works while other one gives a 'blank row' absolutely free ).
In this use case we have to have refresh action after local action as post processing data transform of flow action modifies data in other grid rows and hence has to be last action to refresh entire grid. Even when I removed refresh action, it was adding an empty row to grid and when the grid is refreshed or submitted this empty row is being shown. Seems issue with Launch - Local action!
Thank you Santanu and Ashish.
Will explore options of customizing modal template and if Edit link can be added directly in column rather than through embedded section.
