We have a requirement to fire off 11 parallel RDB connector calls from an activity. Alas, Pega has a fixed limit of 10 parallel methods at once! We are looking into various methods of getting around this (on Pega and DB side) but in the meantime I'm just wondering if anybody has any idea if this limit can be extended? Any other tips to get around this on the Pega side?
From the help page:
"When the RunInParallel box is selected, the SQL operation occurs in a new requestor session. This temporary requestor has the same access group and clipboard as the original. At most 10 such child requestor sessions can be active at once.”
Hi, Thanks for your response. One must always use the Connect-Wait method to enable the activity to wait for all parallel processes to return. Our problem is we have 11 of them. The only 2 options available to us it seems (unless anybody out there knows more?) is to either add work on the DB side to bring down the number of paralell processes to 10 or to make one of the RDB calls synchronous. We have chosen the former.
