Not sure if this has been asked before... But no luck when I did the search in the Community....
I tried to monitor incoming mail with Outlook connector "NewMail" event. It works for my own Inbox.
But I need to monitor other shared/Group inbox... in Outlook it disappears name as "Mailbox - XXX" so I tried to put in "Mailbox -XXX\Inbox" in the Folder properties of the connector but it's not work...
Hi there. I've managed to get this script running and it returns a message box for each of the folders in a shared mailbox (top-level only, not any sub-folders), which is a great start. However, I don't know C#, so I don't know where to go with my automation next.
My automation needs to retrieve the e-mails in various sub-folders within that shared mailbox. I already have an automation running perfectly for my own email account, but I want it to now do the same from the shared mailbox instead. The 'RetrieveEmail' method of the Outlook connector seems to only accept folders from the signed-in account. When using the above script, slightly amended to output the folder paths, I can see the values are formatted as: '\\email@example.com\Folder' but the 'RetrieveEmail' block fails when attempting to access them this way, saying it can't find 'firstname.lastname@example.org'folder (or any iteration of the same).
Is there no way to set the shared mailbox sub-folders as the path for the 'RetrieveEmail' method? Will I have to write my entire automation in C# in place of where the message boxes are in the above script? Thanks
The outlook connector is the primary way Pega Robotics works with Outlook. Generally speaking, interrogating Outlook is not feasible. We are not able to drill down and interact with the controls through a Windows Adapter (Hence why the Outlook connector was created). From my experience the only way to interact with these shared mail boxes through Pega Robotics is through a script.
