Monitor web page events like mouse click when the web page is running independent of Robot.
How can we monitor for a webpage to do some action in automation when user clicked on a field or control.
Basically, I do not want to start the web page with automation. It may be running independent of Robot. [eg : Outlook mail]. Wanted to do some automation activity whenever some specific action performed by user on the page.
This may be trivial functionality in Pega robotics. #HelpMe.
You need to have interrogated the control(s) that you want to listen for and then respond to the events you are interested in (click for example). As such, you'll need to have Pega Robotics start the application(s) that you are listening to. If you use MonitorAll as the StartMethod, you can allow the user to start the application(s), however Pega Robotics must be running first.
Just be aware that if you use MonitorAll for a web adapter, that it will be hooking every instance of Internet Explorer. You really need to think if this is worth it as it makes your development much more complicated (since you cannot have any additional web adapters in your solution). I would recommend against it and instead start the adapter for them to use.
