Our use case consists of sending offers to customers through email campaign and for the same have the below queries on future client requirement. We are using Pega PRPC 7.3.1. and Marketing 7.31.
Client will run an email campaign so emails will be sent to customer with microsite link.
Interested customers will open microsite and see details of the offer and then accept / reject if they like it or not.
Future Client requirement:
Scenario1: The email that will be sent to customer via email campaign will have multiple links for opening multiple offers in separate microsites. Say the email template will have 5 microsite links for opening 5 different offers in 5 different microsites. There may or may not be any logic for choosing these 5 specific offers for now say they are fixed that is all customers in the campaign will recieve those 5 offers.
Scenario2: In this scenario there will be 1 microsite link in the email treatment but when the microsite is opened it will show 5 diffrent offer details instead of one single offer. Customer can choose and Accept the one he likes most accordingly IH is updated.
For Scenario1 ==> Since the email treatment is linked to a particular offer flow it can only send contextual offer data for that offer to the microsite(along with customer data). Hence we cannot have multiple links in the treatment that will open different offers in separate microsites, since 1 offer flow is linked to 1 offer and not multiple offers.
For Scenario 2 ==> Email is sent from a particular offer flow and only data for that offer can be sent from email to the microsite. We cannot send data for any other (multiple) offers. Hence this requirement cannot be handled as well.
Please suggest if our understanding is correct not.
If incorrect, can you please let us know how we can handle the future requirements 1 and 2.
And there may be a workaround for the 1st scenario within a similar approach. Bundled or Grouped offers can be set as an offer context but there should be another point to identify the offer. Different microsite URLs can be used or a parameter can be passed. I think Load Data stage also should be customized in Microsite.
I have not tried but just wanted to share some ideas.
