Need your inputs what will be the roles of Pega LSA in the below situation. LSA have been asked to join one of the client whose has multiple pega applications implemented in the organization. Most of the applications have been implemented from 6.x version and upgraded to 7.x version(5-8years old applications)
There is no active development going on with any application and its mostly CR and production fixes are going on.
LSA have been asked to take care of all the pega applications in the organization.
What would be the typical roles in this kind environment if the customer/partner is not looking at any further investment in pega. Will architect be able to contribute actively to the application without having good knowledge of the 5-8years old application.
Most of the knowledge on the applications is lost since people have moved out of the organization and there is no proper documentation maintained.
It sounds to me as if the client is looking for a systems administrator, but I would have to pose this question to the client to be sure. This and all the questions you posed above, are best asked of the potential client.
If you are looking to propose tasks to the client, then I think monitoring system activity using SMA and the logs and using this to optimize the performance of the application.
