Question
Offers vs Propositions
I'm currently doing the first task in "Let me create propositions for web channel banners" and after importing the propositions, there's no related offer created in Content/Offers.
But after creating an offer, there's always a proposition related to the offer in the Proposition Management
So, I have some questions in mind:
1. what's the advantage of create propositions without an offer related to them?
2. Is there any use case that fits into this scenario of propositions not supported by offers?
3. What happens if a customer accepts a proposition that doesn't have a related offer?
Thank you,
Juana María
Juana,
Thanks for your question. In reality, when using the CDH the way to go is to create offers (actually in 8.3 called Actions) and not propositions. As you have indeed noticed when you create an offer, the underlying proposition is automatically created for you.
Also moving forward, in 8.3, when using the new NBA Designer, all eligibility, applicability and suitability rules can be defined at Action level directly. So we are transitioning from propositions to Actions defined in CDH/Pega Marketing.
