I see that the automation was created a while ago so that is probably why you don't see that System.IO.File component. To use this component you will need to import the System.IO.File in your Toolbox as a static component.
Here are the steps:
Step 1- Open the toolbox and right-click the "General" bar > select "choose items..."
Step 2 - Click the "OpenSpan Static Members" tab and then browse to mscorlib.dll. After selecting the mscorlib.dll you should see a list of static members. Expand File and then select the "WriteAllText" method. Click OK.
Step 3 - You should now see the "File.WriteAllText" static member underneath the "General" bar. You can drag this component into your automation to use it just like any other component.
Step 4 - After you drag the component in the automation you should now be able to successfully select the "WriteAllText" from the available methods.
Appreciate your help in this. The WriteAllText component worked perfectly fine. One thing is that it always replaces the existing data. Is there a way i can append the new data after the existing data?
