Is there a way to patch deployment through Deployment Manager? Every branch merge or Publish option is deploying the entire application to higher enev? Can anyone explain if there is way to restrict the rules that we want deploy?
The best practice is to package and deploy the entire application version and we strongly recommend following good versioning best practices. The Pega Platform is has the ability to only deploy rules that have been added or modified so other than the first time deployment it will only actually import into the target environment just the delta.
Packaging and archiving the entire application version is a best practice as it ensures that you have redundancy against database corruption and can restore back to any published version that is archived in the artifact repository.
You already mentioned in several posts that pega have ability to deploy delta. Could you explain about this more? Do you mention ability in RAP rule to select option "Delta mode" under "Applications to include"?
