We are trying to establish an SFTP communication from another Pega server using FTP server data instance and Keystore. Presently Pega 7 Keystore data instance only support JKS and PKCS12 key types. As an enhancement we should extend key types support to OpenSSH/OpenSSL key file and other as most of the partners are no familiar with Keystore format. How can we proceed to convert/include a .ppk file to a java keystore than can be used in FTP server ?Thanks,Regards,Djibril. Posted: 3 years agoDavid+Kircheis PEGA replied to ndoydTo connect to an SFTP server from Pega, configure an FTP server data instance via Designer Studio. Ensure your public and private keys are stored in Java key store (JKS) files to easily load them into Pega truststores and keystores. Accepted Solution Posted: 3 years agondoyd PEGA replied to ndoydAfter discussion with Global Customer Support, Java Keystore (.jks) is not supported in 7.21. Forecasted in 7.2.2. In order to load .ppk file in the Keystore rule proceed as follow (version 7.21) : 1- Open activitiy Data-Admin-Security-Keystore.Validate 2- Save As this activity in your application ruleset 3- Comment Step 3 to disable jks validation while loading the file 4- Save activity and check in 5- Create a new Keystore rule and upload ppk file 6- Reference Keystore rule in your FTP server rule in Pega After running steps above we we're able to successfullly connect to remote FTP server using SFTP option.
