While doing Test DB connectivity for ALPHADB database, we are getting oracle ORA-02391. We are using Pega 7.4. System Configuration - docker, tomcat, oracle Our application has 2 docker nodes. However this bahaviour is seen only on 1 docker node. 2nd node always works fine and returns success connecting to database. ALPHADB Database is configured via JDBC URL as shared below:: jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(LOAD_BALANCE=on)(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = <<host1.com>>)(PORT = 1521))(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <<host2.com>>) (PORT = 1521))(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <<host3.com>>)(PORT = 1521))(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = <<host4.com>>)(PORT = 1521))(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <<host5.com>>) (PORT = 1521))(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <<host6.com>>)(PORT = 1521))(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = <<host7.com>>)(PORT = 1521))(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = <<host8.com>>)(PORT = 1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVER=DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=<<removed>>))) Steps to Reproduce 1.Open Pega 7.4 Designer Studio 2.Go To Records --> Database --> ALPHADB 3.Click ALPHADB database and click on "Test Connection" Error Message Status Value: Database-General Connection Exception 2391 61000 ORA-02391: exceeded simultaneous SESSIONS_PER_USER limit DatabaseException caused by prior exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-02391: exceeded simultaneous SESSIONS_PER_USER limit | SQL Code: 2391 | SQL State: 61000 1. Has anyone encountered this error and how did they resolve it 2.Very poor documentation on HikariPool - https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/hikaricp-connection-pool-configuration 3. Where are the details of HikariPool configuration stored and how can I remove them from tomcat Please refer attachment ExceptionTrace.txt for errors related to HikariPool Thank You!! regards Amit ***Moderator Edit-Vidyaranjan: Updated SR details*** ***Edited by Moderator Marissa to update platform capability tags**** Pega Platform DevOps Testing Applications Data Integration Support Case Parallel Share × Close popover Facebook Twitter Linkedin Email Copy Link Copied! Thanks!
