PEGA does not keep whitespace at the beginning of a string
PEGA removes the blank space assigned to the right of the string. How can you do it so that PEGA keeps the string with the blank at the beginning and end of a string?
I am using this Java function "String.format ("% 1 $ "+ n +" s ", str)" to assign whitespace and it works. but when the value assigned to a property is valid, it does not keep the blanks at the beginning

Hi Susan, I will try to explain myself, I must consume a service for the creation of a customer account on an as400 system, one of the entries must be 16 characters long. that is, if the value is less than 16 (1234567890), then it must be filled in with blanks at the beginning to complete what is required ( 1234567890).
Now we have the option to change the service so that it is he who makes these kinds of adjustments. but making that change has a great impact on the entire organization since this service is used in several countries and each country has its policy of adjusting that number with zero or with blank spaces
I assume you're sticking this data into a text type property. Have you tried a property defined as one of the various java options? Presumably then you could create the code in a java step and map the data there/ensure the appropriate amount of white space is present.
