In Pega Marketing, how to ensure more than 1 campaign can run concurrently
I am running on 1 node. While a campaign is being run, the rest is not started at all.
What is the limitaion ? Is it that 1 node can only run 1 campaign. This do not seem to be right.
I have check with ,y sys admin. All my resources are sufficient.
Hi, The behavior what you are seeing is expected. Camapigns are triggered through Pega standard agents, that can be only one in a single node environment.
Only in multi-node environments (typical production deployments) where the ProcessProgramRun agent is running in more than one node you can see simultaneous program executions.
If you are limited on hardware in dev and wanted to simulate multi-runs, you an also bring app servers like tomcat on multiple ports in a single physical server (if you have more memory/CPU power) - to make it as a multi-node environment for your tests.
This is quite bad for me. I am not advised that in production environment, we need to run on multi-node.
What is the capacity of the servers I should use. Any documentation or matrix I can refer to to check for
the right fit of servers I should make purchase.
All my campaigns running are crawling and waiting for 1 to finish before the next kick start.
Any quick solution to solve my problems. Can I just increase memory to the servers or include
the server core to solve the problem.
I need documents on how to proper set up. Anyone has the document.
I need to at least run 5 campaigns concurrently. Don't tell me I need to 5 nodes ?
