We are looking to install 2 Linux Virtual Machines with Pega instances configured on them, I am wondering is it possible to install Pega using CentOS rather than RHEL. I saw in the platform guide the approved operating systems include RHEL & SUSE Linux Enterprise but nothing about CentOS so wanted to see if this is even possible? Thank you.
Thank you for the reply. I have a follow up question, not sure if you will know the answer but doesn't hurt to ask. For these new servers we are looking to create, is it possible to use a pre existing DB that was created for a different pega instance. We have one that we created for Windows OS using Tomcat app server and Microsoft SQL Server as its DB. Not sure if its possible to point to that DB with these new Linux pega instances we are looking to create. Thanks.

Yes, you can point any app server to an existing DB (as long as rule base has been loaded there). In fact, even fresh installation has two steps: 1. load the rulebase 2. configure/app server to point the db in step1.
