Currently I have Pega Robotics Manager & Packager server setup to deploy robotic solutions. I created an operator id for runtime user(external auth is disabled) and login using basic authentication(i get a login dialog to enter username password when i start runtime) to get the latest packages. How can i integrate with SSO to skip the manual login process?
There are different ways for automatic authentication with Robot manager. In your question it is not clear what type of user you are trying to authenticate with Robot manager (most likely RDA user or Developer because RPA runtimes should self-register) and what type of authentication you have available on your network. For SSO Pega Robot manager supports OAuth SAML 2.0 (IdP or Pega STS) and Kerberos.
If the documentation and attached configuration instructions don't let your SSO to work, then you probably need to involve network team on your side as well as an experienced Pega LSA to specifically look at your settings and that would be beyond the scope of Pega Community assistance.
Could you get an answer to your question? We are trying to implement the same thing to avoid giving the credentials manually (using the administrator operator id created in Pega designer studio) while launching robotics runtime ?
We tried changing the CommonConfig file to reflect the authenticationtype attribute as 'SSO' and also changed the DefaultAUthenticationType DSS in Pega to SSO but it dint work.
