PegaSystems CHAT server

We are starting a project on Pega CS framework and would be implementing both PegaCHAT and PegaCALL as part of that, and , I was going through the release notes for PegaCHAT 7.1.4 and found this:

The key features and functions of this release are:

Pegasystems Chat Server – PegaCHAT now includes a chat server built and supported by Pegasystems.

NOTE: Integration with the Openfire chat server is deprecated. If you are using a previous version of PegaCHAT, you should migrate from Openfire to Pegasystems Chat server.

However, there is not much information on Pegasystems Chat server, is there any documentation for this. Also, Can this be hosted on same server as Pega or do it needs its own physical server. 

Also as we would enable chat with users on internet website(non-Pega), so ideally we would need this to be hosted in Amber Zone and firewalled to our Pega systems on intranet(Green-Zone) as we do not want our intranet to be exposed to outside world. 

Please share the best practices on deploying the Chat server please, for our consideration.
