Performance Testing when migrating PEGA application from Oracle to Postgres
I would like to know the PEGA best practice and if an SOP is available for doing a performance test when migrating PEGA application from Oracle to Postgres. What are the important metrics that should be recorded and reported to build confidence amongst our customers ?
Hi Saurabh,
The following article talks about the best practices for performance testing: https://pdn.pega.com/ten-best-practices-successful-performance-load-testing/ten-best-practices-successful-performance
Given you have already likely run tests on the application in Oracle, this should provide you a baseline for validating the performance once you migrate to postgres. Keep in mind this should be done in conjunction with your DBA so they can monitor the DB performance and make any adjustments.
There are some additional posts down in the related post section related to migrating from Oracle to PostGres that you may consider looking at as well.
