product name and product version while using package wizard
Pega automatically assigns the name and version while using the package wizard. Is there a way to manually name product name and product version while using package wizard to create a product rule for packaging an application?
Thank you for your reply. My requirement is to leverage the package wizard and be able to provide the product name and version manually rather than the ones provided by the system itself. I am aware of the fact that product rule 'create' provides an opportunity to manually provide the product name and product version. I did not see package wizard providing the facility, and willing to know if there is a way in the package wizard itself.
Thank you for your reply. Your suggestion guides to name the zip file name. My requirement is to name the product rule name and version manually while using package wizard.
I guess I didn't understand your requirement initially, but yes I don't think there is a way to do it while packaging mainly because packaging is kind of last stage when everything is ready and you will be looking to migrate, maybe that's why we don't have such an option.
I believe you can use refactor and skimming for such requirement but again I am not aware of doing such thing with package import.
