Reopening tasks from the workbasket
In our project there is a scenario: user can pushes "Send the task to the shared queue" button and sees Confirm harness. If he doesn't close the tab with Confirm harness and if he opens the Shared queue from the menu, he will see the workbasket with his task there. He opens this task again and here is the problem: the user should see a standard pop-up with the text something like this, "The task C-111 is already opened. Do you want to reopen it and loose all unsaved changed?", as it happens when he reopens a task from his worklist. But instead, the user sees his task opened on the second tab, which is no good. How to make tasks from worklist reopen on the first tab?
I would agree with Santanu, it might be coming from the portal configuration. I tried on my PRPC 7.1.8 with the default user "Administrator@pega.com" and I'm always getting pop-up as expected. Can you try that on your side as well with the default user ?
1. You are not seeing the warning if you want to open a case from your workbasket .
2. How to open work item on first tab.
To answer your first query, I think the warning message is not coming because the case is open in review mode and there is no data change in palce which you might loose if you open it from say workbasket,
Hope you understand the point.
For the second one, I think it is more to do about how you have configured your portal. Can you please provide us a screenshot on how you have configured the workares part of your harness?
Cases from a workbasket are opening in perform mode.
In our project, when we click on a task in the workbasket, the activity is called. It's calling several activities for SLA, Reassing (with parameters ReassignOperator -pxRequestor.pyUserIdentifier, Note - "Transfered fro Workbasket to Worklist"), then Obj-Save and Commit (without params).
