Report Definition - Exporting Issue
I'm having an issue with the export functionality in Pega version 7.1.6.
I'm looking to export a report definition rule which has properties included which use reference data to display a value rather than the hard coded value from the database.
When I run the report, the values shown are the correct values (reference data values) but when I export to excel it no longer uses the reference data but instead uses the hard coded values from the database.
I've included a screen shot showing a list view rule which allows a user to specify an export format. For example ReferenceData is an export format.
Is there any possible way to specify whether or not a column in a report definition rule should use the reference data values rather than the hard coded values?
So within the report definition, there is a column which details the status of a case, within the database however, the different case statuses are stored using two separate column's. One column is the name of the status and the other column (reference data column) is used to display this status on screen to the user. For example, a status of 'Resolved - Complete' would be sorted as 'RES_COM' but would use the reference data column to display it on screen to the user.
When I run the report on Pega, the results are displayed as expected (Resolved - Complete), but when you export the report to create an excel file the values are then displayed as 'RES_COM' and no longer use the reference data values.
If you look at the screen shot I attached with my initial question, you will see that List View allow you to specify the export format. Do you know if anything similar is available for report definitions?
Issue resolved. The cause of this issue was due to the fact that I had not specified my reference data class for each specific column. Within the report definition rule, at the end of each column row, there is a small settings like cog (see attachment - highlighted in red). This allows you to specify a column format. If you select 'Reference Data Value Selection' and click the magnifying glass, you will then be specify a reference data value class (highlighted in yellow).
