if the app isn't on the support matrix that means we do not guarantee that we work with that app. However, that does not me that it would not be worth investigating interrogating the app to see the behavior.
I did check on this internally. It looks like JavaFX work for support has been put on hold for the time being. In order to support JavaFX, the minimum java version supported is 1.6 which we can't currently change to (we currently support down to Java 1.4). This would require review of the whole Java Support matrix and force us to not support anything below Java 1.6. So it gets quite complicated. I would continue to express your desire for this functionality through your Account Executive.
Hi Mitchell, Thank you for checking on this. I can understand the challenge here but it is also quite disappointing to know that this request had been put on hold, as we were expecting to restart the work atleast at the end of this year. FYI, we also tried with the screen OCR functionality, but it did not help us, as ours was a RDA requirement.
Please keep me posted in case you hear anything more. I would also try to check with our Account Executive to see if anything else could be done.
