I created several cases in pega 7.2 through an activity and all theses cases are not searchable from the user portal whereas if i create the same case through portal it is searchable. Can somebody suggest what is wrong here?

What is calling that activity? Is it an agent or other batch requestor? What workpool is it using? It's possible that the cases are created (do you see them in the database?) but that your operators don't have access to them. A bit more context about the activity and what calls it might be helpful. Maybe a screenshot of what the activity does?
The cases are getting created ,i can see them in database and i can work upon them also. Only the search Doesn't work. I tried reindexing the Work but still no luck.
Few questions on the above
After the case is worked upon, are you able to search?
Is the FTSIncrementalIndexer agent working on all nodes?
Would it be possible to check if an entry is getting created in the table pr_sys_queue_ftsindex to see the column pxWorkKey shows the pzInsKey of the cases created by your activity?
Are there any exceptions in the log files? Please share the log files.
How many nodes are there in the cluster?
Please share the screenshots of the search landing page (Designer Studio -> System -> Settings -> Search) with all sections expanded along with the screenshots of the popup when the "check" button is clicked next to work index.
