Search not working- Re indexing
Some times i observed that search is not working in Pega, how ever we can set back that with re-indexing or old. But can any one tell me why search or Search indexing will break ?what might be the reasons to cause this kind of issues.
What kind of error you are seeing while search index is breaking?
If you could see re-indexing is initiated by another user. Please Use the pzResolveFTSIndexEntry activity to reset the status on the landing page if the locked message is displayed on the search landing page.
Please let us know the exact issue on with screen shots with all the tabs expanded.
Hi There is no issue in the logs. Just want to know what are all the reasons for breaking index? i see in my application once in a month or twice search wont work. Again after reindexing it will work. So how can i identify the issue for the break ? Attached screen shot
Check DSS indexing/distributed/enabled was set to False value.
Under "Index Administration", index Rules and Work. One can check the status of this by clicking "Check". If they have not been indexed, index each one (this will have to be done one at a time).
Under "Search Index Host Node Setting" ensure "Search Index Host Node ID" matches the entry in the clipboard in System Pages: pxProcess: pxSystemNodeID. If one has more than one node, check the clipboard for each server. The Search Index File Directory should also exist on each server.
Under "Query Settings" the "Degree of Fuziness" set it to "Auto"
Under "Automated Search Alerts" tick the checkbox for "Automatically Monitor Files".
If one changes any of these settings (or indexed rules), click the Submit button after all the actions are complete.
