server location path for plogging.xml for WAS

Can anyone advise where i could access the prlogging.xml for WAS server?

We did some changes in prlogging.xml(removed AES appenders) which is not reflecting. please find below server path , we were accessing below path,

/var/was/AES_Server/properties/prlogging.xml

Kindly advise if we are accessing correct path.

Are you trying to modifying the prlogging.xml file in prweb.war or prpc_j2ee14_ws.ear ?

Locate ear>APP-INF-lib-Prresources.jar-prlogging.xml in ear file


and Locate Locate War - web-inf - classes - prlogging.xml in war file .

Hi Nagraj,

First check if you have externalized the mentioned path in WAS to pick the prlogging.xml from your mentioned path. If not then find the prlogging
Xml file from ear/war file default path and then modify your changes , do a server restart and test.
