We are planning to use SMTP for outbound e-mail with Pega Platform. My customer has two SMTP servers, and they want us to use #1 regularly but in case #1 is down (trouble, or maintenance), they want us (Pega 7) to use #2. Well, of course if we update IP address in Data-EmailAccount instance manually that is feasible but is there any out-of-the-box way to do this automatically (without manual update)?
I don't even know if SMTP clustering is a valid requirement or standard practice but has anyone done this before? Please let me know.
