We have configured Pega cloud to initiate outbound emails via SMTP and Office 365. Our clients policy is to require the email account password to be updated every 90 days, otherwise it will be locked out. I am working on establishing a process to keep the password updated and in sych with the Pega configuration. Thought I'd reach out to others who have dealt with this scenario for suggestions on streamlining the process and minimizing email outages.
You can write custom activity to open email account by using Obj-Open and update the password as save the object. Configure an agent to run based on the requirement to run this activity by passing updated password parameter.
