Super sluggish performance on Pega Express trial environment
I signed up for a trial yesterday and am experiencing extreme slowness / sluggish performance and frequent time-outs when clicking between configuration summaries, saving configurations (e.g., case stage views), and when clicking "run" to test out a case type. 30 seconds for a save to complete is common, and too-often does the animated rotating square "at work" icon remain permanently for several minutes before I try to refresh the page and recover where I left off.
Is this performance typical of Pega applications or just an issue with trial server(s) capacity? It is really difficult to figure out how to use Pega Express when trial and error exploration takes too long.
We looked into the slowness you were seeing and while we found several instances that matched what you reported, we were not able to pinpoint what occurred. It is clear that you had user sessions that became non-responsive, likely either waiting for an external reply (the maps widget?) or some other exception. Hi Carlos - thank you for reporting this. I will look into the performance issues you are seeing this morning. The slowness you are reporting is not typical of Pega applications and none of the things you are doing in the trial - using widgets, adding users, weekend use - raises immediate concern.
