Hi, I have a textarea on my webapplication which I populated with some random text . I will have to do a "click" on the textbox after the text is entered followed by "SAVE" button click for the note to be saved.
However, When I try to save the note it errors out saying the text field is empty. Attached the screenshot. In interrogation mode, the get_text on textarea is returning the text I entered in. It errors out when I try to save the note. Any ideas on how this can be fixed ?
I think you mean to refer by textarea control in the below text:
"... will have to do a "click" on the textbox after the text is ...."
For the textarea control, have you configured the action(click > Refresh Section)? I see the text entered in the text area is posted from the UI gallery sample. Refer Designer Studio > User Interface > UI Gallery > TextArea. Private edit pxUIGalleryTextArea, for the first textarea control and add the action event click.
I encountered similar issue where even after the populating the Text Area control with data its not deducting the character count limit in PEGA.
For this, the solution is clicking on the control. Once we do it, the automation will run smoothly. To test this out, put a break point right after populating the control, manually perform a click and continue the flow to see it work.
Unfortunately, we don't have the capability to send it to text area control. What we can do is interrogate the top most frame by un-checking the global web page and use that to send keys( Enter) to it. Also, before sending the keys, make sure the text area control is in focus.
