Just spent awhile poking around and it doesn't look there is any setting like that in the core product, this is almost always handled by the browser and not the autogenerated Pega7 UI controls. That being said you should be able to turn it off in your browser settings.
I am confused though, since you mention it happens only in PROD, are there any other details you could provide that might explain why that is the case? Were you using the same browser when you tried in PROD and your other environments? Is PROD an exact clone of the other environments where you were not seeing the autofill happen (I'm wondering if there is a hotfix or other code change that may of introduce autofill in PROD)?
Thank you Very much Meghan for your Prompt reply. Actually we are in cloud, and we have a our staging environment as exact mirror of our production. When i add a new address in the auto fill settings on chrome and then if i tried to fill one of the field called "Location" which is a auto complete, and if we choose any auto fill values, Auto complete bottom right blue icon vanished!. Instead it looks like normal text input with yellow back ground. please refer the attached prod screenshot.
And in the parallel tab/new window(basically same session) when we open staging, dev environments auto fill options are not suggesting there.
We are facing the same problem and ours is a web application where users are all over the country who use different type of browsers. And we have no control over this setting. Annoyingly, PRPC autocomplete options are hidden due to the Chrome autofill is appearing on top of that. Nice if we can get this fixed, atleast for autocomplete controls.
We add the attribute " autocomplete='off' "on the input element of autocomplete control to exactly do that, this should ideally tell browsers not to perform autocomplete on the this particular input field.
I am not sure why chrome is still suggesting the completion on the input field.
Are you using the auto generate version of Autocomplete control or the non auto deprecated version ?
