When I use a condition pxCreateDateTime = Today in Report Definition, I could see the query gets generated as (pxcreatedatetime >= 'StartDateTime' and pxcreatedatetime <= 'EndDateTime') (where start and end date time are automatically calculated by Pega while generating the query).
How do I use this condition while creating a function alias to be used in RD? When I directly use an input param (date time type) = Today, it gives error at run time.
Unfortunately the special date conditions like "Today" and "Last 7 days" (we call these symbolic dates) are a special feature of report filters and do not extend to function aliases. When implementing conditional logic around dates in function aliases, you will have to calculate the relevant date ranges and compare them manually. You can use the function aliases featured in the Pega platform rulesets as a guide.
So, are you suggesting that we can set the start and end date manually somewhere on clipboard and use the condition (pxcreatedatetime >= Start date and pxcreatedatetime <= end date as generated by Pega in final query) in RD?
I found one alias for SYS_DATE. Can we build something around this to implement this requirement?
