Tracer fails with "Queue has reached the limit of 50000 events" at step 3400.
On a Pega 7.1.5 application, when attempting to trace a particularly long set of events yesterday I reached the 50,000 line limit in the tracer.
I have logged on into a new session today and attempted to trace the same activity but I am receiving the same message ("Queue has reached the limit of 50000 events.") but this is appearing anywhere between line 3000 and 4000.
Is it possible that my tracer queue has not been properly cleared down, and if so, where can I go to clear this down and what is the file called?

When running Tracer, data will be written in the Tracer folder within the temp directory. Can you try setting 'Max Trace Events to Display' to 0 so the events will not be displayed. Then save the file and open it using the TracerViewer tool (see below link to download).
Thank you for the response, Carissa. It does sound like that would allow me to perform the full trace, but fortunately for now the issue I've been having with the spurious tracer limit has resolved itself.
Do you know what the Temp directory for the tracer output is called? This would be useful to note if the issue I'm having crops up again.

It should write to the /temp/Tracer directory in your Pega temp folder. You can check the path specified for your temp directory in SMA. Navigate to the Administration > Configuration Management page and check the pr_temp value.
