I am having an issue capturing a control within Salesforce. I had the control matching, but then something changed within Salesforce and now the control doesn't even exist to Openspan.
When I inspect element within Chrome I can see the control, but when I try to interrogate the control it can only capture the control's parent elements a few levels higher. My control is the input inside the red rectangle in the screenshot below. I am only able to capture the "Lightning-grouped-combobox". When looking at the OuterHTML and InnerHTML of this item, in Pega Studio, I don't even see my "Input" control.
I even tried listing Web Controls and I was unable to find it that way.
I would suggest that you open a support request. Without being able to touch your application, it will be nearly impossible to make any progress via a forum. As you have mentioned, sometimes the bullseye cannot "see" a control if it is beneath another control. You should be able to locate it in the web controls tab though if it truly exists.
One thing you might try is to locate it using the dev tools in IE and grab the properties of the control. You can then interrogate another text box and change the match rules such that it works against the control you cannot interrogate. It is possible that the page renders different in Chrome and IE, so be sure to use the dev tools in the browser you are interrogating.
