ALTER TABLE "table_name" DROP "column_name"; You said Designer Studio so assume this is Development and not Production. Instead of worrying about deleting the column in your Development database, modify the Rule-Obj-Property rule that you optimized. Obj-Open the Property rule Propery-Remove pzOptimizedForClassList Obj-Save Commit In Designer Studio, in the Advanced tab of the Property rule, do not say "Column inclusion required" Create new instances where that Property is set. Verify that the existing column is NOT populated would be tricky without direct DB access. You could either ask a DBA to check for you, or define a Connect-SQL rule that does Browse.
