Unique identifier/name for a node defined in a cluster
We have a requirement say, that an agent runs in all nodes, but the data processed by the agent in each of the node is different. So we have to distribute the data across each node for load balancing.
The distribution of data across the nodes is done based on the node id defined in the node.
We are using pega cloud environment and pega support team said that the node id might get changed. When a node is down , a new node will be replacing the failed one and the node id gets changed. In this case, we cant use the node id in the logic to distribute the data across nodes.
Can any one please let us know if there is any unique id/name that will not be changed for a node.
Thanks in advance

The nature of cloud computing is that all nodes are ephemeral. The end user should never have to worry about specific node. Your requirement looks to be more suitable using auto scaling group (ASG) based on certain specific metrics.
