Question
Using fixed portals post upgrade
After successful upgrade from PRPC 6.x to Pega 7.1.9, We could see that the end user portals of type fixed have minor issues. When we search in PDN we could see that fixed portals are deprecated in pega 7. However, We can not create the new portal of type fixed but existing will continue to work. Below are the few links from where we got the information.
1) https://pdn.pega.com/documents/prpc-711-release-notes
2) https://pdn.pega.com/release-notes?version=876
Also, It is known that fixed portals does not work in IE11. We've degraded the IE version to IE10. In IE10, we dont see the rendering problems as much as IE11 but still fixed portals has minor issues in IE10.
Do we get the fixes for issues in fixed portals for IE10 ?

Not only creating new fixed portals even existing portal will not work after upgrade in any of IE browser. The main reason is Pega7 is HTML5 standard and fixed portals are using HTML gadgets. You have to upgrade to Composite portals. That is minimum Pega 7 requirement. Pega will not provide any hotfixes in Pega7 for fixed portals as they are not supported.
