Because there weren't any Host-Only Networks defined, I had to configure it myself, which I did according to the guide.I have even tried uninstalling VirtualBox and re-installing. The system should be configured that it just works. Could you please include the page with network setting without any modifications. Could you also check file-->network->preferences, do you have a Host Only network there? If not please add one. Then chose that as the network in the practice system.
