Which Match Rules to use to Interrogate a particular column in the HTML Table
I am trying to loop through an html table and Enter values to a particular column(Column Header-ProjectNumber) through fetching data given in an excel sheet.I need to interrogate the ProjectNumber column as a one single element, and I have used Input Type Match Rule and Attribute Match Rules(OuterHtml). But When I Interrogate the ProjectNumberfield of the second row it creates a seperate object as ProjectNumber2. What are the Match Rules I should use to interrogate the ProjectNumber field?
I cannot say for certain which match rules you should use, however you must disable UseElementID in this case. The ID is specific to each row, so it would only work on the first one. I would try to use the ElementID Match Rule and change the mode to StartsWith and remove the last digit.
You'll need to examine the properties of the elements on subsequent rows to determine what properties are common between rows that you can match on. I would suggest that you open the HTML of the page and examine each of those elements to see what match rule(s) you can use that would apply to each.
