While I am using Table grids, I used when conditions rules
As per Client requirement, In table grid we are using when conditions for label and control to hide that particular field. But the issues is, when the column is invisible, we are getting space related to that particular column.
As per the screen shot, you can observe columns 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are invisible (which I have used when conditions), But the space is getting displayed.
Main Concept:- Visible and non-visible columns to be shown as per client requirement. And Invisible columns space and their filter icons won't be shown
This looks expected as you only put conditions on the contents within the cells themselves. If you are seeking the behavior that your requirement is dictating, then the condition needs to be moved to the column level.
However, I do not believe we have such a feature. Row visibility, yes. Column visibility no.
Why? While I am not the product owner here, I can offer you my understanding and reasoning. If a row is visible or not, it is an independent outcome which will not affect any other rows.
How does one imagine a conditional column visibility that may or may not apply to every row? If you can picture such a design it would have a totally disjointed table display with uneven amount of columns.
So you may need to take step back and try to fully understand the requirement and if you truly want to be hiding a column in its entirety based on some condition.
