Question
Workbook creation, sheet operations, etc., without Microsoft Excel installed
This is a noob question: Approximately how much of Pega RPA interaction with workbook files is dependent on MS Office Excel (i.e, the Excel application) actually being extant on the run-time machine? Meaning, if I never installed MS Excel on a machine on which Pega is envisioned to perform workbook operations like opening or creating a workbook, copying sheets in them, whatever, how much functionality does Pega actually have to perform those file-level tasks?
An example, does MSOGenerateExcelFile rely on MS Excel being installed on the machine on which that generate action happens?

Thanks.
Currently, MS Excel is required to be installed on the Runtime machine for any type of operations with the Excel document.
With that said, there is already development happening for this functionality. I would be on the lookout for this enhancement in the next couple months.
