I am not sure I understand what you mean when you click on "Records". Do you mean Records Explorer? It will help if you are able to provide a screenshot of the behavior you are experiencing. It goes a long way to explain the situation and issue you are having.
Anyways, if you are trying to use the Records Explorer to locate the list of Edit Validate rules, the following screenshot should be helpful:
After leaving the system to time out for 15 days and start again it fixed itself.
You are right a screenshot would have been helpful :-)
The issues I was trying to describe was when I clicked on Records Explorer icon, the left red box you have highlighted was blank, nothing in there at all, no headings. SO Application Definition, Data Mode, Dececion etc were all missing with nothign appearing at all.
Re-doing the exercises up to there was good practice too :-)!
