Question
Bulk Processing Single Run Limit
Hi PDN,
I have a client with a large number of cases which have been generated due to an issue with an external system. Looking into the Bulk Processing actions looks to be a great way to enable the cases to be processed in a short period of time. I have already been able to filter the cases to only pick up the ones which failed due to the issue and want to finalise the processing of them.
The report is pyBulkProcessingTemplateWorkBasket and currently returns the standard 500 items.
I have been asked to increase this limit to between 5k and 10k records. I have some concerns about this as obviously I don't want to negatively impact on the system performance while processing these cases.
What is considered a safe limit of case numbers to process at once using the Bulk Actions?
Thanks
Hi
Which version of PEGA are you on ?
I can see an article here :https://pdn.pega.com/node/296246 which talks about increasing the limit till 10000. May be you can consider 10K as a safe bet.
However, it is always better to determine the limit by doing some stress testing ! If it is an one time activity then it is better to perform during off hours when the load is consideribly low !
