China Posted: 3 years agoLast activity: 3 years 10 months ago Closed Solved Does the prconfig/agent/enable setting has impact to system agents? We have a cluster with couple of servers, some of the servers are used as web application servers for end users, and one server is used as AGENT server.Agents of ourselves need to run at AGENT server only, meanwhile system agents (such as Pega-RulesEngine) need to run at all servers. We're planning to use the node classification and system stetting to control our agents to be ran at AGENT server only: prconfig.xml:<env name="initialization/nodeclassification" value="Agents"/> Dynamic System Settings:prconfig/agent/enable/default: falseprconfig/agent/enable/Agents: true Question is that we have no idea whether the Dynamic System Settings has impact to system agents or not.Since system agents (such as Pega-RulesEngine) need to run at all servers, instead of the AGENT server only. Or, is there any better way to maintain the agents? Appreciated a lot.***Updated by Moderator: Marissa. Removed user added Ask the Expert group tag. China replied to BinodG81Thanks very much. If these agents (i.e. Pega-RulesEngine) run at AGENT server only, will them import the other servers? For example, we want the assembly cache could be purged for all servers, instead of the AGENG server only? Posted: 3 years agoAfzal Synechron Inc. replied to GAVINHSUI think your requirement should be handled through the agent schedule instances generated for each agent in each node. Posted: 3 years agoranjr PEGA replied to GAVINHSUthere are few agents which need to run on all nodes. Like system cleaner agent. And there are few agents which ideally should run on only one node. Now coming to your point, instead of prconfig setting, just change the setting present in nodes. Just remove the node which is not required to run that agent. China replied to GAVINHSUWe're wondering a quick way to switch agents between two or more servers; since we have dozens of custermized agents, it will be a tough work to disable them one by one from the agent schedule. Moreever, I'm also afraid that some of the agents has already been executed before it's deleted from the agent schedule. Accepted Solution Posted: 3 years agoGAVINHSU Mediatek Inc. China replied to Srikanth JUnfortunately, we havn't find effective way yet. Currently, we use an activity to bulk disable no-needed agent schedules.
