What product are you using as that external content management system?

Which APIs (REST, SOAP, HTTP, other ...) does that external CMS provide?

Please elaborate what "attachment" means in your context!

What do you mean with "access"? Do you want to load the data from that "attachment" for further processing? Or do we just talk about a mean to display that "attachment" to the user? Or something completely different?
