Team Foundation Server (TFS) integration with OpenSpan Studio/Pega Robotics Studio
I’m looking for information on how to configure Pega Robotics Studio 8 to source control. Specifically I want to connect to Microsoft’s TFS instance we have running in our organization. I've read marketing material that this is possible but can't find any specifics to how to do this. Is there a special plug-in I need to intall so Studio will recognize it?

Pega Robotics Studio, for all intents and purposes, should work like Visual Studio. I believe TFS requires an installation but there is no special plugin needed for it to work with Pega Robotic Solutions. There should be tutorials online on how to get this setup.
I am not sure the differences between the capabilities of Plugin vs. Studio. I would assume that Studio should be able to implement the source control. I am positive that you can do this with Pega Robotics Studio Plug-in though.
I have the latest plug-in installed but cannot seem to get Studio to recognize any source provides in the Tools/Options screen. In addition to Pega Robotics Studio 8 I have VS2015 Enterprise Edition installed and successfully connected to our TFS. I'm sure that Pega Robotics Studio can also integrate to it but I don't see/find any supporting documentation.
Sometimes there is confusion with Pega Robotics Studio and Pega Robotics Studio Plug-In. If you have VS 2015 installed on your machine, you should be using the Plug-In version. This version integrates with your VS 2015 and will let you create Pega Projects like you would any other project. The Standalone version is a shell of VS 2015 which is customized as a Pega Robotic IDE only. If VS2015 and Pega Robotics Studio (Not the plug-in version) are installed, there can be unforseen issues and it's not supported. Is that the case?
First my apologies for the delayed response but yes, I believe that may be a point of confusion. Originally I only had Pega Studio 8 installed but I have since installed the full VS2015 Enterprise edition. So it sounds like I should remove Pega Studio 8 and then use the plug-in to continue working with my projects correct?
That would be the correct way to go forward. One thing to note when using TFS or any other source control provider.
When saving the osproj file after editing the project properties, data is updated in up to two other files. These files are located in the Properties folder (ImportTypeMap.resx and MessageManifest.resx). You therefore should check out these files as well when editing the project properties. You will receive a warning if these files are not checked out and your changes will not save.
