We are trying to send an Outbound SMS from Pega Marketing and the SMSC is expecting the Message to be encoded in IA5. How to identify in our application what the encoding for SMS is configured? Can we change it depending on the client?
In the Channels -> SMS Outbound -> Advanced tab, you can set the Data coding scheme. I can see only three values: Default, Unicode and Display only. If these options don't meet your requirements, you can manually set the parameter under the Additional settings tab. Please contact Pega Support to set the correct key-value pair value corresponding to Data coding scheme = IA5.
