CDM 6.7 Upgrade to CDM 6.9 (backwards compatibility)
We are in the process of upgrading foundation server from 6.7 to 6.10 and are running into issues running CDM 6.7 due to class conflicts. My guess is that CDM 6.7 is not compatible with 6.10 due to a lot of tech stack upgrades. As such, I was looking at upgrading to CDM 6.9 as well. However, that poses a problem for us because we have several applications that will still need to use CDM 6.7 for some time while we are working on the upgrade.
So my question is, if I upgrade the DB schema for CDM from 6.7 to 6.9, will the 6.7 CDM code still work ? In other words is the database schema upgrades for CDM 6.9 backwards compatible to CDM 6.7.

The issue is not that we want to upgrade the schema only. The issue is if we upgrade schema - then we would have to upgrade CDM everywhere. Unfortunately, we are in the middle of a tech stack upgrade for CFS 6.10, but we still have to support all of our applications running on 6.7. So the same issue would apply in the case of a CDM upgrade, where I have to support both the new version (6.9) and the older version (6.7) while the upgrade is in process (which could take several weeks).
Keep in mind I support an application that is running in multiple data centers with real-time data replication and must maintain 24x7 support because we dealing with emergency/life threatening scenarios.
Are you running both CDM and CFS on same application server . Could you please upload the logs when you were in process of upgrading foundation server from 6.7 to 6.10 and running into issues running CDM 6.7 due to class conflicts.
After a little bit of messing around with classpaths and such, I was able to get the CDM 6.7 deployment to work on our servers. We might still have an issue when I deploy CFS 6.10 on the same JVM - but if I do I will create a new thread to address those issues.
