We have a requirement to install AES on our Pega environment which has Pega 7.1.4 running on tomcat. Can anyone please let me know which AES version is compatible and if there are any installation guides?
AES 71, 72 and 73 support Pega Platform 714. AES 72 requires Pega 72 / 722 as host. AES 73 will be released this fall and requires Pega 73. I advise you take AES 72 since it has functional advantages over AES 71 including
- scorecard / dashboard is built and persisted by an agent, rather than re-computed at logon and every time one changes system view (which can take many seconds to several minutes)
- alerts may be filtered so that specific connectors / queries that are known to be slow can have unique 'elevated' KPI SLA's
- supports "push mode" - Pega 71+ systems can push usage data and schema data to AES 72, rather than having AES "pull" data by sending SOAP requests to monitored nodes. "push mode" is more performant and secure.
Be aware that Pega Platform 714 integration to AES requires manual editing of prconfig / prlogging.xml files. Starting with Pega Platform 717, AES integration is built in and controlled via a landing page. At such time that you upgrade from Platform 714 to something newer, you will need to remove the AES integration entries from prconfig / prlogging
